MY JOURNEY.
I grew up in Edmonton, Alberta, chasing adventures across the Canadian Rockies, skiing, hiking, climbing, and exploring the mountains however I could. That love for movement turned into competitive drive early on, and I eventually earned the honour of competing for Team Canada in track and field, cross country, and mountain running and am a three time Canadian
These days, the mountains still call, but my roles have expanded: I’m a husband, a father, and I work full-time in math education. Still, the spirit of competition and the drive to push my limits haven’t faded — they’ve just found a new path in ski mountaineering.

CHASING the OLYMPIC DREAM
I discovered skimo later than most, but it clicked instantly. After just one season of racing, I earned a spot on the Canadian national team. In my second year, I joined the World Cup circuit, helping Canada into an Olympic qualifying position in the Mixed Relay, including a career highlight 9th place finish at the World Championships.
Now, I’m all-in on the next adventure: doing everything I can to help Canada secure our qualification for the 2026 Winter Olympics, where ski mountaineering will make its debut on the world stage. We’re one race away from locking down an Olympic spot.
TRAINING ON AND OFF THE SLOPES
My training blends long adventure days in the backcountry with structured intervals, strength work, and technique refinement, both on and off skis. I’m constantly working to level up my endurance, technical skill, and resilience to compete against the best in the world.
Off the snow, I bring the same energy to the community, supporting the next generation of skimo athletes, and sharing the joy of mountain sport wherever I can.
LEADING THE NEXT GENERATION.
Ski mountaineering isn’t just my personal pursuit — it’s something I’m passionate about passing on. As a father, I’ve seen firsthand how powerful sport can be in shaping resilience, confidence, and curiosity. That’s why I invest my time not only in racing but in building the community around it.
I currently serve as President of our local Nordic skiing association, helping to grow the sport at the grassroots level and create accessible opportunities for young skiers. I regularly speak at local events, including with the Rotary Club, sharing insights from my journey to inspire others to set bold goals — in sport and beyond.
Whether it’s leading youth programs, mentoring new athletes, or simply showing up as a role model on and off the slopes, I believe the best way to grow a sport is to give back to it.
